Advanced Dental Protocol for Oral Rehabilitation in Oncologic Patients
Abstract
This technical report details the implementation of an Advanced General Dentistry model focused on the comprehensive management of oncological and systemically compromised patients. The technical objective is the application of a multimodalprotocol, called SOP Ana Waleska, to mitigate risks such as osteoradionecrosis and maximize the success rates of implant rehabilitation in adverse biological scenarios. The method integrates preoperative pharmacotherapy with Pentoxifylline and Tocopherol, high-precision surgery guided by CAD/CAM with piezoelectricity, and postoperative biostimulation with low-level laser therapy. The main operational results demonstrate the transformation of previously ineligible patients into viable candidates for fixed rehabilitation, raising the implant success rate in irradiated bone to over 92%. The conclusion is that the protocol represents a value-based care model that is clinically superior, cost-effective, and has a positive systemic impact, preventing high-cost complications.
