Abstract

Completed STORMS (Strengthening The Organization and Reporting of Microbiome Studies) checklist for the manuscript "Species-Specific Dysbiosis and Virulence Shifts in Salivary Microbiomes Across Periodontal Disease Progression" submitted to mSystems journal. This checklist documents compliance with STORMS reporting guidelines for human microbiome research, including details on study design, sample collection, laboratory methods, bioinformatic analysis, and data availability. Study summary: Shotgun metagenomic analysis of saliva samples from 56 individuals across four periodontal disease stages (health, gingivitis, moderate periodontitis, severe periodontitis) identifying nine keystone species, antibiotic resistance genes, and virulence factors associated with disease progression.
