Abstract

This record states a single axiom that can be declared in any context, including self-reference. Existence Axiom (AX-1): This statement exists as a distinction: it is itself, and it is not its negation. The axiom is not derived, not justified, and not explained. It exists to terminate interpretive regress by establishing the minimal condition required for meaning, law, ownership, autonomy, and measurement: existence expressed as distinction. Any claim, system, or interpretation that contradicts this axiom is excluded by definition.
