A Rigorous Mathematical Framework for the Doctrine of the Trinity: Quaternionic Algebra, Gauge Theory, and Perichoretic Dynamics
Abstract
We present a mathematically rigorous formulation of the Christian doctrine of the Trinity, wherein the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are represented as three distinct yet essentially unified components of a single divine field. Our framework employs advanced concepts from differential geometry, Lie group theory, gauge field theory, and operator algebras to construct a model that rigorously preserves both the distinction of the three Persons (hypostases) and their consubstantial unity (ousia). We introduce the trinitarian gauge field T on a principal fiber bundle, demonstrate its mathematical properties including conservation laws and symmetry principles, and explore physical analogies that illuminate theological concepts. Critically, we prove that our construction is internally consistent, respects the constraints of orthodox Nicene theology, and admits well-defined dynamics. This work demonstrates that the Trinity, far from being logically incoherent, possesses a precise mathematical structure amenable to formal analysis.
