Abstract

This upload contains two related technical papers presenting a structural perspective on persistence and compression. The first paper, Persistence Beyond Storage, argues that continuity and memory are structural properties rather than brute-force storage problems, introducing the concept of structural folds and redundancy collapse. The second paper, Compression’s Least Discussed Limit: Architectural Choice, examines how early architectural commitments in compression pipelines impose practical ceilings that are independent of information-theoretic limits. Together, these documents establish prior art for structure-first approaches to persistence, compression, and system design, emphasizing optionality preservation and architectural degrees of freedom. This work is released as a public preprint to establish authorship, timestamp, and provenance.
