A Wearable Liquid-Silicone Urinary Assist Interface with High-Compliance Inlet and Leak-Prevention Geometry
Abstract
This work presents a conceptual engineering design of a wearableurinary assist interface fabricated primarily from liquid siliconeelastomer. The proposed structure emphasizes leak prevention, flowstability, and wearer comfort through a high-compliance elastic inlet,a forward-tilted S-shaped flow channel, and a drip-cut outletgeometry. The interface is designed to support standing urination whilemaintaining skin-conforming sealing behavior under movement.Additionally, the compliant inlet structure allows controlledmechanical interface insertion without compromising the primaryfluid-sealing function. The design focuses on material compliance,flow-direction control, and multi-point fixation rather than electronicsensing or active components. This paper aims to provide a structural and geometric reference forfuture prototyping, simulation, and non-invasive wearable assistresearch. No medical claims or clinical validation are presented.
