Appendix GDL — Gödelian Incompleteness and Boundary Conditions of Formal Systems
Abstract
Appendix GDL records, as a structural boundary log, the boundary conditions inherent in formal systems in light of Gödel’s incompleteness theorems, and clarifies how those limits appear when contrasted with the observational presuppositions of Dualbind. It does not introduce a new logical system, does not attempt to extend Gödel’s results, and does not aim to mathematically justify Dualbind. This appendix treats incompleteness as a structural constraint: in sufficiently strong formal systems, there exist true-but-unprovable statements, and a system cannot prove its own consistency from within. Dualbind, meanwhile, is designed on the presupposition of non-closure and asks not whether incompleteness exists, but how it is halted, retained, or exposed when it becomes manifest. The conclusion is intentionally non-conclusive: the difference is not competitive, but a scope boundary where the two frameworks do not coincide.
