INTELLIGENT SYSTEM FOR EARLY ASSESSMENT OF COMMERCIAL RISKS OF FILMS
Abstract
The article addresses the problem of high economic uncertainty in investment decision-making within the film industry. An architecture of an intelligent system is proposed that employs machine learning methods to analyze exclusively pre-release data. Using publicly available datasets as an example, it is demonstrated that moving from single-factor heuristics to multi-factor models leads to a significant improvement in the accuracy of predicting the likelihood of project profitability. It is concluded that the proposed approach helps systematize expert judgment and provides an objective quantitative basis for risk management, complementing rather than replacing artistic and commercial evaluation of film projects.
