SCHRÖDINGER'S EQUATION UNDER MECHANISM-ONLY ELIMINATION
Abstract
This paper applies a strict mechanism-only, elimination-by-necessity analysis to Schrödinger’s equation to determine whether it constitutes a physically enforcing mechanism. By restricting admissibility to proven physical enforcement—force-mediated energy and momentum exchange with reciprocal back-reaction—the paper examines “free evolution” between interaction events and tests invariance under removal of the equation and wavefunction attribution. Retaining all physically enforcing interactions while eliminating representational state evolution leaves physical outcomes unchanged. The analysis establishes by logical necessity that Schrödinger’s equation and the wavefunction are non-enforcing descriptive tools, and that physical dynamics in quantum mechanics occur only at interaction events.
