X-ray Interpretation and Ultraviolet Catastrophe Resolution in Structured Vacuum Theory
Abstract
This paper introduces Structured Vacuum Theory (TVS), a novel theoretical framework that fundamentally reinterprets electromagnetic radiation as coherent excitations of a 23-dimensional geometric vacuum structure. The theory resolves the century-old ultraviolet catastrophe without ad-hoc quantization by introducing finite-size electron solitons that naturally provide an ultraviolet cutoff. Key contributions: 1. Derivation of the 23-dimensional vacuum structure from the uniqueness of the Steiner system S(4,7,23) and its automorphism group M232. Prediction of specific X-ray spectral modulations at ΔE ≈ 2.39 keV3. Explanation of transparency resonances at 55 keV4. Natural emergence of dark matter candidate at mφ ≈ 55 keV5. Geometric interpretation of the fine-structure constant via M23 group order The theory makes experimentally falsifiable predictions using existing X-ray technology and provides a mathematical foundation for the unification of electromagnetic phenomena, dark matter, and fundamental constants through combinatorial design theory.
