The Focus–Yield Framework: A Conceptual Model for Quantifying Human Productive Output
Abstract
This article presents an exploratory theoretical model termed the Focus–Yield Equation, developed to articulate how structured focus, time allocation, distraction cost, consistency, and efficiency jointly contribute to meaningful performance outcomes. Although inspired by behavioral science, productivity research, and systems thinking, the framework is intentionally positioned as a conceptual theory awaiting empirical validation. The objectives of this work are: To propose a structured mathematical representation of human productive output. To invite academic and professional critique. To enable iterative refinement through empirical study. To stimulate interdisciplinary exploration across management science, psychology, cognitive performance research, and applied productivity engineering. The author welcomes constructive review, challenge, and collaboration.
