Abstract

This report is the result of the HatemediaReligion project (PC-24-0050), funded by the Fundación Pluralismo y Convivencia and implemented by Hatemedia, through the Universidad Internacional de La Rioja. What you are reading is not an exhaustive list of offensive messages nor a legal classification of hate speech. The aim of this text is to contribute to the understanding of its forms of production and persistence, with special attention to the religious sphere and from an applied, evidence-based perspective. Throughout this report, the focus deliberately shifts from the individual message to the body of messages and, from there, to the profiles that repeatedly issue them. In this way, isolated cases are distinguished from recurring patterns, and the moments when hostility takes center stage are identified.
