Abstract
ABSTRACT: The Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural and Energy Engineering and the Master's Degree in Bioenergy Engineering and Energy Sustainability at the University of Valladolid (Soria Campus) are presented as a possible success story in academic adaptation and transformation to meet training and employment demands. The objective is to analyze the agriculture + energy binomial and its application to the socio-labor field, as well as its possible replicability in other geographical and educational contexts. To this end, qualitative (descriptive and interpretative) research is carried out, based on a review of gray literature, as well as in-depth interviews with actors related to the degree and master's degree. This is complemented by a categorization based on the SWOT model and a preliminary descriptive quantitative implementation based on indicators. The category of gender (emerging) is added to better understand the object of study and as a research opportunity. It is demonstrated that the implementation of energy in Agricultural Engineering curricula is key to the success and differentiation of the degree program, as well as a factor in quality, educational achievement, and connection with the social and business fabric. It is concluded that the experience is replicable, although it is essential to carry out a prior analysis of the strengths and opportunities of the socio-labor context, the availability of a qualified specialized teaching team, and its involvement in the transformation and awareness of socio-labor advances and transformations and responsibility for response.
