Sweat-based Monitoring and Assessment of Relevant Clinical Biomarkers (SwyCard)
Abstract
SwyCard is a clinical testing method for neonates that detects biomarkers in sweat using a non-invasive sweat collection patch. This innovation enables early, accessible health monitoring, benefiting patients, reducing healthcare costs, and advancing science and biotech. The current solution is at TRL 3 (proof-of-concept established in a lab setting), and the project aims to bring it to TRL 4, with a validated prototype tested in a relevant laboratory environment. The overall aim of the project is to develop a novel, non-invasive, sweat-based health testing platform and to establish biomarker reference ranges to support the development of new clinical tests for pediatric patients.
