A Decimal Encoding of the Face Vector of the n-Dimensional Hypercube to get a magic number and step structure
Abstract
This paper presents a decimal encoding of the face numbers of the n-dimensional hypercube. The numbers of vertices, edges, faces, cells and higher-dimensional faces are arranged as decimal digits with a carry-propagation rule. This encoding produces the exponential sequence 21ⁿ. The work shows how a classical combinatorial structure can be represented in a positional number system, creating an interesting bridge between geometry, combinatorics, and number representation.
