Paper 24C: Forward Modeling of Coherence Transport in Galactic Rotation Curves
Abstract
Outer rotation-curve persistence is a model-dependent inference whose physical interpretationrequires both predictive validation and a strain-to-motion law. This paper retains the corrected175-galaxy SPARC benchmark, taper profiles and uncertainty diagnostics, and adds a radialprediction experiment on 82 galaxies. Five families fit only the inner 70 percent of velocities: asaturating background, the full fixed-exponent shape family, algebraic MOND, NFW and Burkerthalos. Distance, inclination and mass-conversion constraints are treated consistently. Parametricrefits quantify forecast uncertainty, and a correlated-error scenario tests sensitivity. The primarymean outer RMSE is 10.88 km/s for the full shape, 11.07 for its background alone and 9.02 forMOND. The added term does not show a consistent mean advantage over the background acrossboth covariance scenarios. The full shape has the lowest median error, 6.34 km/s, and 78.5percent empirical coverage for its nominal 80 percent intervals, with an average interval widthof 28.32 km/s. A further 3,200 synthetic curves quantify conditional predictive preference andrecovery at two velocity precisions. A local acceleration target and an exact two-template rankcondition specify how a calibrated stellar-mass correction could be separated from a prescribeddynamical response. Ranked outer intervals give conditional observation targets. Neither a longfitted taper nor a predictive win by an empirical curve family identifies microscopic coherencetransport. Complete source and a Windows runner reproduce both historical and predictivecalculations from the two raw SPARC tables.
