Abstract

This paper presents a novel, unified theoretical framework that resolves three of the most profound and seemingly disconnected challenges in modern physics: the empirically observed one-second invariant and φ-scaling across quantum and cosmic systems; the origin of baryon asymmetry in the universe (baryogenesis); and the hard problem of consciousness. We propose that these phenomena are not independent puzzles but emergent manifestations of a single, deeper ontological substrate: the Ontology of the Fundamental Network (OFN). In the OFN, reality is modeled as a static, four-dimensional, torsional network—a spinor bundle over a manifold—where time and dynamics arise solely from the process of “reading” the network. Within this framework, we introduce Cosmic Knots: stable, torsion-bound solitons in the network’s activation field. These knots are not contingent artifacts of symmetry breaking, but fundamental structural units whose quantized connectivity parameter σ governs their stability and behavior. We demonstrate threefold unification: Unification I: The discrete σ-spectrum of Cosmic Knots naturally yields the one-second timescale and the golden ratio φ as conditions for topological self-similarity and optimal packing, explaining the quantum-cognitive scaling laws identified by Beardsley. Unification II: The formation and chiral decay of primordial Cosmic Knots provide a geometric, CP-violating mechanism for baryogenesis, offering an ontological foundation for field-theoretic models of topological defects. Unification III: Cosmological redshift and its apparent acceleration are re-interpreted not as metric expansion but as dissipative energy loss of light traversing the static network, eliminating the need for dark energy and suggesting a static, eternal universe. The theory makes a suite of testable, interdisciplinary predictions spanning neuroscience (correlations between σ and geomagnetic activity), quantum physics (spin-dependent tunneling modulations), and cosmology (anisotropic Hubble parameter, fractal dark matter halos, absence of primordial B-modes). By grounding consciousness, baryogenesis, and universal scaling in the geometry of a single network, this work advances a rigorous geometric monism, proposing that mind, matter, and cosmos are different expressions of the same torsional-spinor substrate. The framework not only unifies disparate domains but also provides clear paths for empirical falsification, inviting a new interdisciplinary research program at the intersection of fundamental physics, cosmology, and the science of consciousness.
