Abstract

We are stuck. For seventy years, humanity has been trapped in a chemical prison, bound by the tyranny of the Rocket Equation. We treat space as a dead, empty void that must be fought against with brute force and massive fuel tanks. This is a mistake. This paper argues that the "vacuum" is not empty, it is a dense, high-energy, superfluid medium. We are like fish unaware of the water we swim in, assuming the ocean is "nothing" because we cannot see it. By shifting our perspective from "Spaceflight" to "Hydrodynamic Vacuum Interaction," I propose two pathways to exit the chemical age: active energy extraction (Vacuum Combustion) and passive flow utilization (Geodesic Surfing). We don't need more fuel, we need to learn how to burn the sky.
