Abstract

ABSTRACT The paper presents CampoBite, which is a smart canteen management application designed to enhance efficiency, transparency and user experience in campus food services. The conventional way of operating the canteen is based on manual order and billing processes, which tend to create long queues, delays in taking orders, billing mistakes and inefficient inventory management. The suggested system presents an online food ordering system, which allows ordering food online in the campus canteens through a digital token-based queue system. The benefit of this is that users are able to make orders wherever they are, monitor the status of their order, and get a notification when the food is ready to be collected. The automation of billing, as well as the use of email to send invoices, is also supported in the system. In order to improve operational effectiveness, food demand management is implemented with the use of order history. An integrated chatbot is used to support user queries. Feedback and rating system will allow improving the quality of the provided services. The system is built on Java and React technologies, which allows the minimisation of manual workload, the reduction of food waste, and the improvement of the overall working of the canteen. The suggested solution can be scaled and can be used in contemporary institutions in the sphere of education. Key words: Smart canteen system, Campus canteen automation, online food ordering, token- based queue management, OAuth 2.0 , Demand management, Razorpay payments, Web application, React ,Java
