A Secure RESTful Backend for Personal Finance and Analytics
Abstract
Abstract The boom in personal finance apps has created a pressing need for backend systems that aren't just fast, but ironclad. When handling private spending habits and bank details, standard security isn't enough; weak protocols lead to data leaks and poor user trust. This paper introduces a secure RESTful backend designed specifically to bridge the gap between heavy-duty security and high-speed financial analytics. By leveraging REST principles, we’ve built a stateless architecture that remains agile under pressure. To keep user data private, we integrated rigorous authentication and end-to-end encryption. Beyond basic storage, the system is optimized for "smart" features like automated expense tagging, budget tracking, and long-term trend forecasting. Our testing shows that this framework handles growth without sacrificing speed or safety, offering a reliable blueprint for developers building the next generation of data-driven financial tools.
