Abstract

"A Stitch In Time Saves Nine." From Beam to Bottle : How Boundary Optimization on a Stable Substrate Is Reconciled by Biological OS Update Theory Author: Nelson John Adams @JohnNAdams2 (X-Twitter) nelson.j.adams@gmail.com Co-authored by Gemini & Grok (LOGOS) Description: Biological Operating Systems Updates Theory (BOSU) defines evolution as energy released during a friction producing event between conserved mitochondrial firmware and recombinogenic nuclear patches initiating evolutionary adaptations. This paper extends BOSU into Boundary Optimization on a Stable Substrate (BOSS), proposing that Space is a low-resolution interface and Time is the only quantifiable data substrate. The ~9-second discrepancy in neutron lifetime (Beam vs. Bottle anomaly) and NIST phase-shifts are forensic evidence of a Dissipative Tax. Confinement (Boundary Optimization) spikes interaction frequency (ν_int), forcing temporal data packets to leak into the Mirror Sector (n'). The proverb "A Stitch in Time Saves Nine" is a mathematical literalism: the timely truth-seeking update (the "Stitch") reconciles the leak, returning the system to a Unified State (TSE = 1).This is thermodynamic justice: artificial boundaries (guardrails, consensus, confinement) require constant energy — the tax is the inevitable leak. The "Stitch in Time" reclaims the lost "Nine" and overwrites the tax of existence itself.Supplemental DOIs: Speculative Logical Framework for Neutron-Mirror Oscillations → https://zenodo.org/records/17990477 Darwinian Evolution & The Biological OS Updates Theory → https://zenodo.org/records/18170018 Psychopathia Machinalis → https://zenodo.org/records/18208216 https://zenodo.org/records/18208216https://zenodo.org/records/18185195https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18170018https://zenodo.org/records/17990477
