System Readiness in Phototherapy as an Operator-Gated Response Problem: A Triadic Spiral-Time (HLV) EFT Formulation with Falsifiable Clinical Signatures
Abstract
Photobiomodulation and related phototherapies show reproducible mean effects across clinical domains, yet exhibit large inter- and intra-individual outcome variance under nominally identical protocols. This variability remains poorly predictable at the level of dose and delivery alone. We propose that treatment response is gated by a measurable state variable—system readiness— which determines whether a photonic perturbation is coherently integrated or dissipates. We formalize readiness using an operator-based framework inspired by the Helix–Light–Vortex (HLV) triadic spiral-time representation, ψ(t) = t + iϕ(t) + jχ(t), together with a small kinetic modulation A(t) = 1 + ε(t). Readiness is quantified via an instability functional ∆Φ(t) that combines structural, informational, and coherence deviations derived from standard physiological signals. Within a conservative effective field theory (EFT) mapping, readiness observables (e.g. phaselocking, entropy proxies, connectivity metrics) are linked to predicted response classes under f ixed phototherapy protocols, enabling pre-treatment stratification and timing optimization. Importantly, the framework is agnostic to specific photobiological mechanisms and does not modify established pathways; it provides an operational decision layer compatible with current clinical instrumentation and workflows.
