Universal Scaling and The Stillpoint
Abstract
The prevailing cosmological model assumes expansion, yet only by selective application: galaxies recede, but atoms, rulers, and laws remain fixed. This selectivity generates paradoxes — entanglement, vacuum energy, the horizon problem, the arrow of time, dark energy, and mounting observational tensions such as the Hubble constant discrepancy and the early appearance of massive galaxies. We propose contraction — universal scaling-down of all forms — as a unifying principle. In this frame, no fixed backdrop exists: all measures descend together. Redshift, time’s arrow, coherence across the cosmos, and even the persistence of energy emerge naturally. What appear as contradictions in expansion become proofs of contraction. This principle dissolves anomalies, reconciles relativity and quantum mechanics as aspects of a single scaling process, and offers a coherent alternative to the expanding-universe paradigm.
