Coherence Field Architecture (CFA): A Regulatory Architecture for Coherent Interaction in Complex Systems
Abstract
Coherence Field Architecture (CFA) is a system architecture framework developed by Martin Piškorić (Martin Piskoric) that describes how coherent patterns of interaction can emerge over time within a single system or across multiple interacting agents through regulation rather than optimization. CFA defines coherence as a functional alignment that preserves diversity and agency, rather than as uniformity or enforced synchronization. The framework is designed as a scale-independent regulatory architecture, applicable from intra-personal self-regulation within a single individual to collective and socio-technical systems involving multiple interacting agents. CFA is not a product, methodology, or behavioral control system. Instead, it provides an architectural model for understanding and supporting regulated interaction in complex adaptive systems, emphasizing legibility, recoverability, and governance over performance maximization.
