Integrated Information Theory 4.0 Formalism and Synthesis: Validating the Relational Dynamics Intelligence Framework (RDIF) Through Axiom Mapping and Simulation
Abstract
This working paper systematically validates the Relational Dynamics Intelligence Framework (RDIF) by mapping it onto Integrated Information Theory (IIT) 4.0 axioms and postulates. Through PyPhi toy model simulations and stress-resilience analysis, I demonstrate that RDIF's consciousness faculties (Sensorium, Perception, Perspective, Perspection, Tolspection, Awareness, Identity) align with IIT's formalism and offer testable extensions. Key findings: (1) Tolspection exhibits minimal Φ degradation under acute stress (0.081 drop vs. baseline collapse); (2) Self-to-Collective configurations dominate 78% of Awareness Node states via bioenergetic load-sharing (SBT/EGT); (3) Giver cooperative strategies form super-complexes with higher integrated information than isolated agents. This work positions RDIF as a substrate-independent, social-extension of IIT 4.0, offering empirical pathways for cross-species consciousness assessment and altruism quantification. Intended for validation by IIT researchers (Tononi, Koch) and computational neuroscience communities.
