Abstract

This release publishes version 1.0 of the Evidence Ratio Reporting Standard (ERRS), a normative standard for likelihood based evidential reporting issued by the Swiss Genomics Association. The ERRS standard defines a minimal, model agnostic structure for reporting statistical evidence derived from likelihood based analyses. It specifies a unified triplet consisting of an effect estimate, an uncertainty interval, and a likelihood based evidence ratio, enabling coherent comparison of results across heterogeneous study designs, endpoints, and analytical models. ERRS is designed for use in clinical, biomedical, and statistical research settings where analyses may rely on different models and assumptions, but where evidential conclusions must remain interpretable, comparable, and auditable. The standard does not prescribe specific statistical models or decision thresholds. Instead, it defines a consistent reporting interface that preserves the evidential content of classical likelihood based inference.
