Women Safety App
Abstract
Women safety has become a major concern due to the increasing number of incidents involving harassment, abuse, and emergency situations. This paper presents a Women Safety App developed using Android Studio, Java, XML, and Firebase to provide quick and reliable help to women in distress. The application includes key features such as a one-tap SOS button, real-time location sharing, emergency contact management, and Firebase-based authentication. The system allows the user to instantly send their live location and alert message to pre-registered contacts. Firebase Realtime Database ensures fast synchronization of user details and alerts, while Google Maps API handles accurate location tracking. The app’s intuitive and minimal user interface enables easy access during emergencies. This research paper describes the system architecture, design methodology, implementation process, and outcomes of developing this mobile-based safety solution.
