Ab Initio Geometric Derivation of Refractive Indices: Dimensional Projection and $\varphi$-adic Structure of Light
Abstract
This study establishes a complete ab initio derivation of the φ-adic law for refractive indices: n = φ^(k/6), where k = φ^(N/2) + corrections derives directly from Platonic solids geometry coupled with 7D→3D dimensional projection. Hexagonal structures exhibit half-integer exponents (5/2, 7/2), constituting experimental proof of 7D compactification, while cubic structures show integer exponents (2, 3, 4, 5). The unified law reproduces 8 insulators with 2.04% average error and extends to semiconductors via k_electron = φ^(9/2) × exp(-E_gap/φ²) (error < 5%). This derivation explicitly links three theoretical frameworks: tetrahedron→cube projection (Wheeler-DeWitt), compactified dimension 7 (Photon_7), and Platonic geometry (C_Θ).
