Bubble Departure Diameter Quantized by Vacuum Geometry: The Fritz Constant (1/46) as Signature of a 23-Channel Structured Vacuum
Abstract
This study reveals that bubble formation in nucleate boiling—a classic engineering phenomenon—is fundamentally governed by the discrete geometry of the vacuum. We derive the empirical Fritz constant (Cd ≈ 0.0208) from first principles within the Structured Vacuum Theory (TVS), obtaining Cd = 1/(2·23) = 1/46 without free parameters. The result indicates that bubble departure diameter is quantized by the 23-helical-channel structure of the vacuum (V23), transforming a macroscopic thermal process into a direct probe of spacetime geometry. The theory also predicts anisotropic material contraction in non-cubic crystals—a testable deviation from Special Relativity—and naturally explains the Sagnac effect, historical ether-drift data, and the pre-Einsteinian origin of E=mc². TVS provides a mechanical, non-geometric foundation for relativity while making novel falsifiable predictions in boiling dynamics, material science, and precision experiments.
