THE FORMATION AND ARTISTIC FEATURES OF THE HISTORICAL NOVEL GENRE IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK LITERATURE
Abstract
This thesis examines the formation and artistic features of the historical novel genre through a comparative analysis of Pirimqul Qodirov’s “Yulduzli tunlar” and Charles Dickens’s “A Tale of Two Cities”. The research focuses on how historical events, real historical figures, and fictional characters are artistically integrated to reflect national history, social change, and human destiny. By analyzing narrative techniques, characterization, symbolism, and ideological perspectives, the study reveals both shared genre characteristics and distinctive national features of English and Uzbek historical novels.
