ENGLISH VERSION Human Essence TransmissionA Conceptual Framework for Neural Information Preservation and Cosmic Archival Communication Author: Michael Ingr — Independent Researcher Abstract Consciousness generates structured information that currently dissipates with biological death. This paper introduces the Human Essence Transmission (HET) framework, a theoretical architecture enabling the extraction, encoding, and transmission of core elements of individual human cognition into interstellar space as persistent electromagnetic or gravitational information. Building on advances in brain–computer interfaces, neural decoding with artificial intelligence, and high-power space communication technology, HET proposes a method for reducing cognitive identity into a compact informational format — the Human Essence Encoding (HEE) — capable of surviving for millions to billions of years as a cosmic archival signal. The concept situates human thought within the physics of long-range information propagation, enabling the preservation of human personal essence beyond biological and terrestrial limits. We define the necessary technological components, discuss constraints imposed by relativity and neuroinformatics, and analyze philosophical and ethical implications of consciousness as a transmissible and potentially reconstructible entity. This work establishes a scientific basis for the long-term cosmological preservation of human meaning. 1. Introduction Human consciousness may be understood as an organized, high-dimensional information process embedded within a biological substrate. Although neurons continuously generate patterns representing memories, preferences, intentions, and unique personal identity, these patterns remain extremely short-lived in the cosmological context: when the biological substrate ceases functioning, the information typically becomes irreversibly lost. However, from the perspective of physics, any information that is successfully coupled to a propagating field — such as an electromagnetic wave — can persist for extremely long times as part of the evolving universe, limited only by absorption or decoherence. Humanity has already begun transmitting partial reflections of its existence into space — radio signals, spacecraft messages, optical emissions — yet none has been designed to capture the essence of a specific conscious mind. This paper explores a theoretical pathway by which a meaningful fraction of a person’s cognitive identity may be transduced into a transmissible physical signal. We propose the Human Essence Transmission (HET) framework as an interdisciplinary synthesis connecting: · neural signal acquisition and decoding, · semantic compression of personal cognitive structures, and · deep-space communication systems. The goal is to make human subjective content — not merely our biological form — part of the ongoing cosmological record. 2. Brain-to-Information Framework Human cognition consists of structured neural dynamics spanning billions of neurons operating through electrochemical interactions. To transition these dynamics into a transmissible physical signal, the HET system must implement a complete chain of acquisition, interpretation, and abstraction. We define three hierarchical layers. 2.1 Neuro-Signal Acquisition The physical basis of thought lies in membrane potential changes and synaptic activations. Modern neurotechnology can measure these through multiple modalities, including: · Implanted microelectrodes – high spatial resolution, limited coverage · Electrocorticography (ECoG) – moderate resolution and coverage · Magnetoencephalography (MEG) and electroencephalography (EEG) – whole-brain coverage with lower spatial fidelity · Optical neural imaging – conceptually very high resolution, currently experimental in humans Within HET, an optimal hybrid system is envisioned: minimally invasive implants targeting key cognitive hubs, combined with non-invasive global monitoring to reconstruct distributed neural patterns. 2.2 Neural-to-Semantic Decoding Raw neural signals do not inherently contain human-readable structure. Recent breakthroughs in artificial intelligence demonstrate that large generative models can learn bidirectional mappings: neural state ⇄ meaningful mental content including: · internal speech, · recollected images, · intentions and motor plans, · emotional and decision states. This layer serves as a neuro-semantic compiler, translating biological dynamics into conceptual representations suitable for digital encoding. 2.3 Cognitive Abstraction Layer Because full neural replication is infeasible and unnecessary, HET focuses on preserving the identity-carrying subset of cognition: · an autobiographical memory graph, · a preference vector space, · behavioral heuristics, · moral and emotional signatures. These structures together define the unique cognitive core of an individual — the Human Essence. The result is a high-dimensional latent representation, ready for compression and long-term transmission. 3. Human Essence Encoding (HEE) The Human Essence Encoding (HEE) is a high-dimensional compressed representation of an individual’s identity-bearing cognitive structures. Unlike a complete neural replication — which would require exabyte- to zettabyte-scale storage — HEE focuses on preserving the minimal informational subset sufficient to reconstruct meaningful personal continuity. We distinguish four core components. 3.1 Memory Graph Semantic and episodic memories are modeled as a multiplex network: G = (V_M, E_M) where nodes VMV_MVM represent memory objects (events, concepts, entities) and weighted edges EME_MEM represent associative strengths. Long-term identity is carried primarily by the topology of this graph rather than by the exact biological implementation. 3.2 Preference & Value Manifold Personality emerges from reward landscapes encoded in neural circuitry. HEE encodes: · preference vectors, · emotional response profiles, · intrinsic motivations, · risk and morality heuristics. These form a continuous manifold defining behavioral style and decision signatures. 3.3 Cognitive Dynamics Kernel This module captures the rules of thought rather than their specific content: · problem-solving patterns, · abstraction and reasoning style, · creativity-related tendencies, · conflict resolution strategies. It defines how the person tends to think and decide, enabling forward simulation of behavior in hypothetical scenarios. 3.4 Linguistic & Symbolic Encoder Language is the principal interface to complex thought. HEE therefore stores: · internal vocabulary embeddings, · conceptual hierarchies, · learned symbol mappings. This ensures future interpretability by non-human intelligences, including artificial or extraterrestrial systems, even if they do not share human biology. HEE Data Format Characteristics Key target properties of the HEE representation include: · Size: on the order of 1–100 GB per individual · Structure: graph + manifold + latent kernels · Robustness: redundancy and error correction for long-term stability · Embedding space: compatible with future AI and non-human interpretive systems · Exportability: directly convertible to electromagnetic or optical modulation formats Thus, HEE becomes a compact, physically transmissible identity vector containing the essence of the self. 4. Long-Range Cosmic Transmission Once the Human Essence Encoding (HEE) has been generated, its preservation depends on a physical carrier capable of maintaining informational coherence over cosmological durations. The transmission layer must satisfy several key requirements. 4.1 Physical Medium Selection We evaluate candidate carriers: Medium Advantages Limitations Radio EM waves High reach, low dispersion Large antennas for tight beam targeting Coherent optical / laser High data rate, precise directionality Sensitive to pointing errors and occlusion Gravitational modulation Not blocked by matter Currently far beyond technological capability For first-generation HET implementations, a radio + optical hybrid is optimal: radio for robustness and wide-area coverage, optical for high-rate directed legacy signals. 4.2 Trajectory and Targeting Strategy Two complementary transmission modes are proposed: 1. Cosmic Archive Mode (CAM)Broadcast into interstellar void regions to maximize survival time — minimal matter interaction and low interference. 2. Directed Legacy Mode (DLM)Targeted beams toward specific stars or exoplanet systems, offering potential contact with intelligent life. Both modes employ: · repeated periodic transmissions, · multiple temporal encodings to signal artificial origin, · potentially varying modulation schemes over time. 4.3 Error Resilience and Redundancy The interstellar medium introduces noise, scattering, and relativistic shifts. HET therefore incorporates: · forward error correction (FEC), · cross-temporal repetition of HEE packets, · multi-frequency redundancy, · symbolic self-describing metadata structures. The goal is information stability on timescales of 10610^6106–10910^9109 years. 4.4 Message Structure and Signature A multi-layer message format is proposed: [Physical Layer Header] [Universal Mathematical Primer] [HEE Information Packet] [Reconstruction Key] [Redundant Copies] The universal mathematical primer (basic arithmetic, primes, simple physics) is intended to ensure decodability by non-human intelligence with no prior knowledge of human languages. 4.5 Minimum Viable Prototype (MVP) To validate feasibility, an initial experimental system should demonstrate the full cycle on a minimal scale: · use a single cognitive feature (e.g., internal speech of one sentence or a simple intention), · acquire and encode it as a compressed neural-semantic vector, · transmit it
