Abstract

This animation shows the temporal evolution of the reflection nebula around RY Tau, based on ZTF r-band images obtained between 2018 and 2024.The apparent motion and brightness variations illustrate a light echo effect caused by variable illumination from the central star. Compared to version 1, the video speed was reduced by half.
