Electromagnetic Field-Based Tracking of Subcutaneous RFID Microchips in Enclosed Environments: A Comprehensive Analysis of Antenna Grid Systems and Signal Propagation
Abstract
This study investigates the feasibility and implementation of electromagnetic field-based tracking systems for subcutaneous RFID microchips within enclosed environments. It analyzes antenna grid systems, wave propagation in biological tissues, signal processing for RTLS, and safety considerations (SAR). It proposes triangulation-based antenna arrays with beamforming and time-division scanning, discusses environmental limitations (e.g., water immersion, metallic interference), and reports simulation-based performance metrics and sub-meter localization accuracy under suitable configurations.
