How I Passed the salesforce admin practice exam with CERTIFICATION EXAM Quizzes: A Real Journey from Cloud Admin to Salesforce-Certified Professional
Abstract
I can honestly tell you that one of the most exciting things I have done in my career is become a Salesforce Certified Administrator. It completely changed my entire career path, allow me to advance in my professional development. When I started working in the field, as a Systems Administrator in an IT support capacity, I did not have any experience working with CRM platforms. As I started learning about Cloud Technologies (Azure and Other) and how they applied to my job, I began to realize the potential value of being certified as an Administrator. After months of studying on my own, becoming increasingly frustrated with myself, and making mistakes, I finally passed the Salesforce Admin Certification Exam. In my testimony, I have included what I feel is an accurate representation of how I prepared for the exam, my methods of studying, what worked for me, and a statistical comparison of the various methods of preparing for the Exam that I reviewed. Civilian Status vs. Salesforce Administrator Test Before I decided to put together a study plan to prepare myself for the Salesforce Administrator Certification Exam, I needed to truly understand what the test entails. The Salesforce Administrator Certification Exam typically consists of sixty (60) Multiple Choice Questions and Multiple Select (multiple answers) Questions that will be administered in a proctored environment. Candidates will typically have approximately one hundred five (105) minutes to complete the exam and the minimum passing score for the exam is usually around sixty-five (65) percent. The cost of registering to take the Salesforce Administrator Certification Exam is two hundred ($200.00) dollars, not including state and local taxes, and the fee to retake the exam is one hundred ($100.00) dollars per retake. It is recommended to have direct experience with the subjects covered by the exam prior to registering. Registering for the exam is not contingent on having prior hands-on experience, however. Candidates can take the exam through a supervised online exam or at a local testing center. During the actual exam, no reference materials are permitted. The exam has a wide range of topics including: configuration and setup, User Management, Security, Automated Process/Workflows, Analytics and more. Various sources have confirmed the exam domains are weighted throughout the various categories of the exam, including Lightning App Builder/Object Management, Productivity Tools and Workflow Automation. Everyone preparing for this exam has said that it can be deceptively deep in the subject matter. In terms of the basic configuration of Salesforce, it appears to be fairly straightforward; however, many of the scenario-based questions will require you to be able to demonstrate an understanding of practical application versus memorization. My Decision to Follow This Path: I have a great deal of background in Azure Cloud Systems which provided me with experience in configuration, Identity and Access Management and Automations. Because Salesforce is built on a CRM model, it was a different area for me to get comfortable in. I felt that the Salesforce-AI-Associate role would be a great long-term opportunity because AI and Salesforce’s automation tools are paving the way for how large level organizations operate and becoming comfortable with the Admin side of the world will help me establish a solid foundation to continue on with more advanced learning. Also, in reviewing job postings, I have started seeing a trend of Certified Salesforce Admins being required/preferred skills in several different upcoming roles, specifically around CRM/Future Cloud Integrations. Certified Salesforce Administrators are compensated at a competitive salary in the United States of between $80,000 - $125,000 dependant on experience and geographic area, with a relative median of $100,000. In Europe/other international areas, salaries vary, but all tend to be very competitive for Certified Professionals that have established skill sets. My Approach to Studying for Exams: The Long Road of Consistency I started out using Salesforce Trailhead (the learning platform of Salesforce). Salesforce Trailhead provides modular learning paths and lots of hands-on activities using Salesforce Developer Org, all at no cost. This was key for me since it allowed me to configure objects, profiles, flows, and automations in real-time using Salesforce — I wasn't just reading about these things but was using them as well. After using Trailhead for several weeks, I discovered that just learning via Trailhead was not enough for me to feel prepared to take the Salesforce Admin practice exams. The real admin exam questions are often styled around real-world business scenarios, have several correct choices, and can be very confusing if your preparation is based strictly on theory. That's when I added CERTIFICATION EXAM QUIZZES to my study routine. I treated them like my daily workout: I did full-length timed practice sessions when possible. After completing each practice set, I analyzed every missed question in detail. I documented all of the areas that I did not perform well in, and created targeted review sessions for each area. I continued repeating quizzes until I began consistently achieving simulated scores above 80%. This method of studying allowed me to understand the patterns to how the questions are worded and think about questions in a similar manner to how the exam was designed — most candidates that only study the content do not have this experience of thinking this way about questions on the real exam. When I encountered multipart questions and situational question types, I had to remind myself about other similar types of questions that I had practiced. I had a few bookmarked practice questions that I intended to re-visit before I submitted; however, during the test, the time pressure did not feel overwhelming. I completed the examination with several minutes to spare and submitted my responses with confidence. When I opened the results screen, I confirmed that I passed the test. It gave me a sense of relief, as well as proof that my method of studying was correct. Professional Development and Future Directions After passing my Salesforce Administrator Certification Exam, I have noticed recruiters have been interested in my experience for jobs with CRM and Cloud Integration responsibilities. As mentioned previously, Salesforce administrators are able to command attractive compensation packages that usually reflect their experience with and knowledge of Data Management, Automated Processes, Optimising Business Workflows, and Collaboration across Organisations. This Salesforce Admin Certification will provide me with the opportunity to explore further opportunities in various Salesforce career paths, as well as enhance my knowledge within my previous Cloud Engineering background. Comparing Other Solutions to THE CERTIFICATION EXAM When I was creating my study plan for the certification exam, I also entertained a number of test preparation resources. In the following section, I have included some of the most well-known options I evaluated and the comments I made based on what I learned during my search for test preparation resources. 1. Official Salesforce Trailhead Practice Tests Trailhead provides free access to Official Practice Tests that are associated directly with the Test Blueprint. These tests are shorter in length and feature questions curated by Salesforce, which will give you an idea of the official style of questions you may encounter on your exam. As a result, the Trailhead Official Practice Test questions can be considered reliable, because they are based on the actual objectives found on the official test.He very mentioned that Yor After quite, limited quantity and depth were found in comparison to a full length simulation practice test. 2. Focus on Force Provides Salesforce Certification, question bank, and study guide. This Has been highly Previewed by the users through community postings, and there has been a lot of conversation about how much content there covers, however, candidates have stated on public forums that often receiving high scores in Focus on Force practice exams did not correlate to their performance in the actual Salesforce Certification exam. 3. Udemy Provides a variety of instructor-led courses with practice questions relative to the Salesforce Admin Certification Exam. Similar quantities of questions with many explanations are typically included. The quality and price varies depending on which course you take, but if aligned with official exam topics, this can also be good supplemental resource. Three points of comparison. Amount and Quality of Practice Questions: Although Focus on Force and Udemy have many practice questions, I also had a lot of Full-Length Simulations that were structured to be like the actual exam while practising on the CERTIFICATION EXAM. The Official Trailhead test is much shorter and primarily a way to orientate you. Degree of Realism in Exam Simulation: The practice exams provided via the CERTIFICATION EXAM were closest in actual exam pacing, domain blend, and complexity based upon my experience and what I have seen from Official Exam Insights. Feedback and Review: All major platforms will provide you with explanations, but the Cert Exam allowed me to track my progress and focus on my weak areas with exceptionally helpful feedback. My comparisons are based upon my observations of others and my experience, as well as verified information accessible from Public Comments, Community Conversations, and Product Descriptions. Recommendations Based upon My Long Os Long Experience, I recommend the Following Suggestions: Do not take practice exams without a foundational knowledge of material. Use Trailhead or the Official Exam Guide to assess your knowledge level. Trea
