Abstract

This technical notebook is the foundational entry of the "Modus Paraguayensis" series, a pedagogical digitalization project designed to transition traditional descriptive statistics toward computational analysis environments in R, based in Encarnación, Paraguay. In this first notebook, titled "Trabajo #1", the author develops a methodological framework for handling frequency distributions and grouped data using a controlled simulation environment. The work not only addresses the calculation of measures of central tendency, dispersion, and shape (based on the canon of authors such as Pearson, Sturges, and Walpole) but also introduces the student to the construction of visualizations using the ggplot2 library. While data grouping may currently be considered an "analytically obsolete" technique compared to the processing power of modern computing, mastering it remains essential for the analyst in training. Understanding the underlying mechanics of grouping and the calculation of its statistics is fundamental for developing a basic statistical literacy before studying algorithmic precision
