HELLIGKEIT: Between Process and Being (Whitehead · Heidegger): A Position
Abstract
This book does not propose a theory, a system, or a synthesis. It articulates a position between process and being. Drawing on the tension between Alfred North Whitehead’s process philosophy and Martin Heidegger’s ontology, the text resists attempts at mediation, integration, or explanatory closure. Instead of resolving the conflict between becoming and presence, it argues that this tension must be endured. HELLIGKEIT treats explanation, interpretation, and modeling not as neutral cognitive operations, but as practices with ethical limits. Where everything is rendered explainable or visible, what resists availability is put at risk. Against this, the book defends responsibility without ontological grounding and without procedural excuse. This work offers no solution and no result. It marks a place: remaining in the in-between.
