Abstract

We and others have described a T-cell activation defect as a likely requisite component of pathogenesis in inflammatory bowel disease. These changes included discovery of CD53 as a common regulated target of the IBD protective and susceptibility alleles encoded by IL23R and NOD2, respectively. We describe here Lsp1 activation in ulcerative colitis.
