Abstract

This record documents the architecture and design intent of the Codex Core–Lab Governed AI Interface, a bounded execution framework for adaptive or learning systems in which all state-changing updates are subject to explicit governance constraints. The Codex interface separates system operation into three non-bypassable regimes: Core — a governed commit boundary enforcing admissibility, projection/repair, and tamper-evident ledgering Lab — a high-variance exploratory environment that may generate proposals but is forbidden from committing state Policy (TACT) — a typed capability-selection layer that modulates exploration envelopes without bypassing governance This record provides a high-level architectural specification and describes the associated verification philosophy (boundedness tests, deviation metrics, compression proxies, and falsifiable experiment design). Executable source code, verification datasets, cryptographic seeds, and full experiment harnesses are intentionally withheld to preserve intellectual property, security, and sovereign control. The purpose of this deposit is priority establishment, architectural disclosure, and scholarly reference, not open-source release. Access to the full runnable system may be granted separately under explicit agreement.
