Abstract
================================================================================================ Citation requestIf you use this software in your research, please cite:Mudelsee, M. (2026). Tropical sea-surface warming rates during the Anthropocene: Code. Zenodo. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18279715and also the associated research paper (Mudelsee & Felis, 2026) once published. Thank you very much,Manfred Mudelsee ================================================================================================ This repository contains: (1) BREAKFIT software (parametric change-point regression); (2) KERNEL software (nonparametric regression for trend and slope estimation): (3) KERNEL_f software (version of KERNEL to write slope estimates on 10-yr raster in append mode into output file); (4) KERNEL_t software (version of KERNEL for the RUS-95 proxy records to include timescale simulations for standard-error-band determination); (5) PearsonT3 software (Pearson's correlation coefficient with calibrated bootstrap confidence intervals); (6) SLOPE_ANALYSIS software (reads KERNEL_f-generated output file for calculating warming percentages, weighted means and relative spreads on 10-yr raster); (7) TAUEST software (persistence time estimation). The software is provided as Fortran 77 or Fortran 90 source and gfortran-compiled Windows executable. Some pieces of code have additional notes. For details see the source code and the corresponding publication (Mudelsee & Felis, 2026, submitted manuscript). This work has been funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation), project number 468589022 (M.M.), within the SPP 2299, project number 441832482.
