Axiomatic Emergence A; The Physical Origin of the Langlands Program
Abstract
This paper argues for the necessity of Langlands duality in describing physical reality, starting from two fundamental physical axioms: Information Conservation (A1) and Computability (A2). By modeling the universe as a systemsatisfying self-referentiality, information conservation, and computability, this paper reveals how number-theoretic structures (such as valuation rings, prime distributions) and representation-theoretic/geometric structures (such as Lie algebras,CPTP categories) naturally emerge as formal correspondences of underlying informational processes. Furthermore, self-referential stability forces a functorial equivalence between internal (number-theoretic) and external (representation-theoretic)descriptions, whose conserved quantities manifest as analogs of L-functions. Thisframework not only provides an explanation for the origin of mathematical structures based on first principles but also leads to a series of quantitative predictionstestable by cosmological observations, thereby transforming the Langlands Programfrom a purely mathematical conjecture into a falsifiable physical hypothesis.
