Ontological Canonization System (OCS): A Universal Framework for Ontology–Methodology Integrity
Abstract
The Ontological Canonization System (OCS) is a universal, domain-agnostic framework defining the legitimate and prohibited transitions between ontology and practical methodologies.OCS does not prescribe methods, implementations, or pedagogical techniques; instead, it canonizes ontological integrity across all applied systems, including scientific models, technical standards, legal frameworks, AI architectures, and educational methodologies. The system operates independently of language, notation, or representational code, treating all such media as interchangeable carriers of canonical constraints.OCS establishes explicit exclusion rules to prevent category errors, ontological drift, and hidden methodological re-ontologization, even in cases of empirical or operational success. This publication defines OCS v1.0 as a stable canonical core, intended for long-term reference, auditability, and cross-domain applicability.
