PHAISTOS-DISKEN – Ett hypotetiskt tolkningsförsök
Abstract
This essay presents a hypothetical interpretation of the Phaistos Disc based on two methodological assumptions: that the Minoan language may have been Indo-European, and that the disc’s symbol system could be readable by speakers of two closely related languages. The work does not aim to establish a definitive decipherment, but to explore what happens when these assumptions are applied consistently across the entire text. The result is a coherent model that produces thematically structured narratives and demonstrates internal morphological consistency. The primary contribution is the methodological framework itself, showing how AI-assisted analysis can be used to evaluate and compare alternative interpretations within a transparent and reproducible system.
