DFIM Companion Note 6: Higgs Mass Emergence in the Dual-Field Interface Model
Abstract
This note integrates the Higgs mechanism into the Dual-Field Interface Model (DFIM, ver 3.3), proposing that particle mass emerges from interactions with the membrane weld between positive (+) and negative (−) polar fields. In standard particle physics, the Higgs field grants mass via spontaneous symmetry breaking; in DFIM, this maps to density-dependent stiffening (κ) and wave feedback, where the scalar field ψ = ln(T/T_0) acts as an effective Higgs-like potential. This provides a geometric unification of mass generation with gravity and EM, without extra scalars, while preserving Lorentz invariance. No core modifications are needed; this note offers corroborative interpretation.
