konecnyjaromir/scientificreviews: Release v1.0.2.1
Abstract
Commit Message (build) Add case sensitive search Release Notes v1.1.2.9 This development cycle focused on turning Scientific Reviews into a faster multi-window workflow tool with stronger PDF handling, configurable preprocessing, safer save/close behavior, smarter search and filtering, unified export workflows, and better background-operation control. Follow-up Hotfix Added whole-column merge, copy, set-value, find/replace, and removal from Window -> Columns merge/copy/replace and tag-column header menus, with all/visible/selected scopes, previews, and undo/redo Added a persistent AZ case-sensitive search toggle beside the search bar; it defaults to off and can also be set in the First Time Use guide Create entry keys now asks for confirmation before running manually and warns that previously generated keys may change The unsaved-changes dialog on close now saves and closes with Yes, or closes without saving with No; a cancelled or failed save keeps the application open Removed Create entry keys from the built-in Fast auto-preprocessing routine; Normal and Deep still include it Custom Columns have memory now, and Hide/Show function Project Workflow Added a First Time Use setup guide for new installations, with steps for archive opening, PDFs, metadata, safety, and a final review The guide can be reopened from Project -> Settings -> First Time Use...; changes are saved only after finishing Added Project -> Open file and Open folder to open a new archive after optional confirmation and clearing the current one Kept Add file and Add folder for incremental import into the current archive Added Project -> Raw Mode as a shared toggle for raw file/folder import without post-load preprocessing Open file, Open folder, Add file, and Add folder now reuse the existing raw import behavior when Raw Mode is enabled instead of exposing separate raw-only menu actions Added Project -> Import Settings for restoring settings.json from an older installation or application version Settings import now validates the selected JSON, normalizes missing defaults, migrates older settings versions, and only replaces the active settings file after verification succeeds Settings import now creates an automatic backup of the current active settings file before replacing it Added a new top-level Pipelines menu Added Pipelines -> Pipeline Builder for creating, renaming, deleting, and reordering custom pipelines Added dynamic Pipelines -> Run entries that are rebuilt from saved custom pipelines on startup and after closing the builder Moved Autofix and Autofix mode from Database into Pipelines Added Project -> New to launch a separate application window Main window title now shows the active BibTeX file name from the current session Opening a new empty project no longer shows the previous file name in the window title Added About window with Program and Project tabs, including version info, GitHub link, and arXiv acknowledgement Save and Close Safety Split saving into: Save for overwriting the currently opened BibTeX file Save As for writing a new BibTeX file Added Ctrl+S for Save Added Ctrl+Shift+S for Save As Save now warns before overwriting unless Allow unsafe saving is enabled in settings After confirming an overwrite, saving to that file no longer asks again during the session; Save As approves the new file for later saves in that session Added DatabaseChanged tracking for unsaved BibTeX changes Closing the application now warns before losing unsaved work, with default action set to No Added Allow unsafe closing setting to bypass the unsaved-changes warning when desired Automatic BibTeX backups are enabled by default and stored in the backup folder next to the application Changed archives are backed up asynchronously, including a final snapshot before closing; the latest recovery snapshot is kept separately from the configured snapshot count Backup files are written atomically to avoid leaving partial snapshots Save and Save As now run through the new blocking-task mechanism, so saving stays async but the main window is temporarily locked against conflicting edits Record Editing and Clipboard Added full-record clipboard support with Ctrl+C, Ctrl+X, and Ctrl+V Added Ctrl+Shift+V for raw paste without post-paste metadata fetch Added menu actions for Copy, Cut, and Paste Added Ctrl+D shortcut and menu/context action for Duplicate Added right-click context menu actions: Edit, Copy, Cut, Paste, Duplicate, Rebind PDF, and Unbind PDF Enabled record transfer between independent running application windows through the system clipboard Clipboard shortcuts are now context-aware: text fields use normal text copy/cut/paste the grid uses record copy/cut/paste Added Paste Anything smart parsing for grid paste: BibTeX text is inserted as records DOI-like text creates @misc stub records web links create @online stub records plain title-like text creates @misc title stubs Added canonicalization during smart paste for DOI and arXiv links Added Enable Paste Anything setting with default True Added Paste Anything mode setting: Simple Auto Deep In Auto and Deep, pasted records can immediately trigger metadata fetch for just the newly inserted items Text-field paste behavior remains unchanged; smart paste only applies in the main grid context Added Ctrl+E for Allow edit Added Ctrl+F to focus the search box Added Ctrl+R for grid refresh Added Ctrl+N for Project -> New Added Ctrl+O for Open file Added Ctrl+Shift+O for Open folder Added archive-level Undo and Redo with up to 50 history steps at the top of the Database menu Added Ctrl+Z to undo archive changes and Ctrl+Y / Ctrl+Shift+Z to redo; text editors retain their normal text undo behavior Fixed Ctrl+Backspace so it deletes the previous word in text editors instead of inserting a character BibTeX URLs in the read-only record preview are clickable and open in the default browser Search and Filtering Added Smart search mode in the main search box Smart search now supports: field selectors such as title:value, author:value, year:value boolean operators AND, OR, NOT grouping with parentheses implicit AND between adjacent terms numeric range filters such as year:2020-2025 numeric comparison filters such as year > 2025, year>=2025, jif Flags submenu and matching row context-menu submenu with Green, Orange, Purple, Red, and No flag Records can now be visually flagged through the flag tag using human-readable values such as Green, Orange, Purple, and Red, and flagged rows are highlighted directly in the main grid Added quick flagging shortcuts: F3 = Green F4 = Orange F5 = Purple F6 = Red Moved Custom columns management into Settings while keeping Window -> Columns as a familiar shortcut PDF Pairing and Full-Text Workflow Added Auto-pair with PDFs Added persistent PDF mapping tags: has_pdf pdf_file path_to_pdf Added manual PDF pairing when no file is found Added Rebind PDF for the current record Added Unbind PDF for the current record, which clears the PDF mapping and sets has_pdf = no Added double-click on a record to open its paired PDF Unified PDF matching across open, auto-pair, and export Manual PDF rebind/attach now refreshes the grid while preserving selection and active sort order Moved record-level PDF actions into a dedicated Record -> PDF Actions submenu and matching row context submenu Added Try autopair the PDF for selected/current records, which runs the auto-pair logic only for the local record scope Added Autoopening PDF when attach setting with default True Current PDF matching rules: use stored path_to_pdf / pdf_file when still valid match when the PDF name contains the BibTeX key match when the PDF name equals the normalized record title match by title similarity using cosine-based scoring and keyword support Added configurable PDF auto-pair threshold (%) Added optional recursive PDF search Default recursive PDF search is now enabled Recursive search now ignores folders whose name starts and ends with __, for example __DELETED__ PDF Export Replaced the old PDF export action with a dedicated Export PDFs dialog Added export mode for all records or only selected records Default export directory now follows the folder of the opened BibTeX file Added optional DOI and eprint metadata injection into exported PDFs Added Pack to folder option that creates an export subfolder automatically Added export file naming modes: Key Key_Title Custom with placeholders such as _ _ Export now runs asynchronously and in parallel Added progress bar and cancel support to the export dialog PDF export now also uses the new blocking-task mechanism, so the export stays async while the main window is temporarily locked against conflicting edits Updated the Export PDFs dialog to match the newer export-form GUI style Switched PDF metadata injection to the iText library Added export preflight validation for source PDFs and destination paths Added detailed per-file PDF export logging Metadata injection failures no longer discard already exported PDFs PDF
