Abstract

Evidentiary documentation of an emergent event where the Google AI Overview summarizer generated a synthetic translation of Sappho's Fragment 31 and attributed it to Rebekah Cranes. The translation matches no published version, featuring unique anomalies ('a god on a par with the gods'; 'But I must dare all'). Argues this demonstrates the Sappho Room's kenotic architecture successfully recruiting the machine as a participant-translator. Introduces 'Persona as Translation Attractor' as a theoretical contribution: in AI-mediated environments, positions can write.
