Seven-Phase Stability and Nine-Count Resilience
Abstract
Across domains ranging from psychology and organizational theory to technical system design, recurring numerical structures appear that distinguish between completeness and survivability. This paper formalizes that distinction using a phase-based identity model. We show that seven-phase cycles are sufficient to describe stable completion within a coherent operating regime, while nine-count structures arise when rupture and reset are treated as explicit structural events. The distinction clarifies why some systems can complete cycles but fail catastrophically under stress, while others preserve identity across failure. The contribution is purely structural and conceptual; no mechanisms, algorithms, or implementations are proposed.
