Abstract

As an accredited investor, you're already familiar with Regulation D offerings—vehicles designed to provideaccess to high-growth opportunities in the private market. Historically, this has meant investing in a company’sequity, such as a promising early-stage tech firm with a valuable intellectual property (IP) portfolio. However, blockchain technology is now enabling a shift in how investment opportunities can be structured.Instead of investing in the company that owns the asset, investors can now gain direct exposure to the assetitself—specifically, a patent or portfolio of patents—through tokenized offerings that are still compliant underRegulation D.
