Abstract

The phenotype, whose described prevalence in the patient population varies includes major depressive disorders and anxiety disorders, or a sub-clinical constellation of symptoms derived from the major depressive and anxiety disorders whose importance in relieving patient distress is likely underappreciated due to an abundance of medical issues in patients with IBD. The phenotype is described to be more prevalent or more severe in patients with the penetrating Montreal B3 disease subtype.
