Historical Stabilization and the Emergence of Classical Time
Abstract
We propose a conceptual framework in which classical reality, time, and definiteness emerge from the progressive stabilization of physical histories rather than from fundamental collapse mechanisms. Within this framework, gravity is treated not as a quantized interaction nor as a causal agent of state reduction, but as a structural contributor that systematically suppresses extended quantum coherences by reinforcing historical stability. The framework does not modify quantum dynamics and introduces no new fundamental constants. Instead, it provides a regime-based criterion for classicality grounded in the global consistency and persistence of physical histories, offering a unified perspective on decoherence, gravitational effects, and the quantum–classical transition.
