Functional Harmonic Laws in Atomic and Chemical Dynamics Dynamic Precision, Harmonic Equilibrium, and Phase Translation in Ultrafast Molecular Motion
Abstract
This work presents a chemistry-scale formulation of three functional harmonic laws originally developed within the Cosmic Algorithm Theory-12 (CAT-12) framework: the Law of Dynamic Precision, the Law of Harmonic Equilibrium, and the Law of Harmonic Phase Translation. These laws were first identified and calibrated in cosmological and large-scale physical systems—where observability is intrinsically limited—through consistency with cosmic microwave background (CMB) structure, baryon acoustic oscillations (BAO), phase-locked resonance phenomena, and persistence regimes across cosmic time. In those domains, degeneracy, bounded coherence, and inference restraint are unavoidable features of physical reality rather than methodological choices. This paper demonstrates that the same harmonic constraints operate with equal force at atomic and chemical scales. Ultrafast chemical dynamics—particularly nonadiabatic transitions, vibrational energy redistribution, and phase-sensitive spectroscopy—provide an experimentally accessible regime in which these laws become directly observable and testable. The laws introduced here do not replace established dynamical equations or conservation principles. Instead, they function as structural constraints on admissible system behavior and on the legitimate scope of mechanistic inference drawn from finite, phase-limited observations. Within this framework, many chemical systems are shown to operate within bounded precision corridors, sustain long-lived non-equilibrium coherence, and admit families of physically equivalent evolutions rather than uniquely resolvable pathways. A central contribution of this work is the explicit distinction between structural laws, which govern system behavior across scales, and relational constraints, which govern how models and observations may be aligned with that behavior. From this distinction emerges the Law of Non-Coercive Alignment (LNCA), an inference constraint forbidding the enforcement of unique mechanisms where physical degeneracy is structurally preserved. While developed here in the context of chemical physics, the framework is intentionally domain-agnostic. Chemistry is treated not as an isolated discipline, but as a resonant continuation of cosmological structure formation, operating under the same harmonic constraints that governed the emergence of matter from the early universe. This work is intended for researchers in chemical physics, physical chemistry, ultrafast spectroscopy, dynamical systems, and cross-domain physical theory who confront degeneracy, pathway multiplicity, and inference instability in high-resolution regimes.
